HP mini 210 Netbook (ep.5)

Awesome little netbook

I waited for this particular version with the audio BEATS and I think it was worth the wait.
1) Processor speed and RAM – would have been nice to have 2 GB of RAM but since this netbook was for my mother, I have not bothered to get an upgrade. But if you use this netbook for browsing and Skype, etc, 1 GB of RAM is good enough.
2) Windows – OS is a version of Windows 7 boot and does not have all the features as such. The part that surprises me most is that the Starter Edition, you can not change your wallpaper. How bizarre is that? You can change the screen saver, but can not change the wallpaper. How difficult would it be for MS to have this feature. So again, this is for my mom, so I do not care if I upgraded to Home atleast.
3) Battery – Battery life is approximately 5-6 hours of what I have observed within 2-3 days.
4) Laptop gets hot – I did not find that the bottom of the laptop gets a little warm but not too much.
5) Size and Weight – Height is just great and perfect to go into any bag, small or small. Its perfect for my mother to carry in his bag. The weight is correct and not too much.
6) Looks – The netbook looks impressive, they have some good colors and I love the look and feel of the netbook.
7) Picture and sound – decent camera and the sound is very good and it’s pretty comparable to my old laptop HP DV4 series.
Overall, I think it’s a great buy for $ 299. You get more than you can ask. If it were not for my mother and if it was for me, I would have updated the following:
a) RAM
b) Windows 7 – Home Starter Edition from
c) Increase the screen resolution

User Review

Great little netbook

I bought this netbook a few months ago as a counterpart to my office laptop. I QuickWeb function and long battery life-it is so much more convenient than any other laptop I had. The 1 gig of RAM, it is slow so do too many things I even notice when I load too many tabs on Firefox at a time. If it’s like the other models of this netbook, you can increase the RAM and then it would be perfect (I have just not had the opportunity to look into now). It is well worth the price, and I am very happy with it.

It is better than any netbook with similar prices, but it has a better performance!
If you are looking for a nice netbook 300usd is the only one !!!!!
Remember, not CD_Room !!!!, you can upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium, but it will be slow! performance of the battery is large (8-9 hrs)

Get what you pay for … I suppose

I had this laptop for over 3 years now, and although it is still in working order, I have a few complaints. First, the laptop heats up more quickly. I bought a fan on just to keep cool. The laptop is so slow today compared to how fast it was for the first 2 years. There is not much space for equipment, I even put most of my files on flash drives and SD chips. it is still slower with age, I even defrag and delete programs i don, t use. I was so excited for her, I like how small and it is convenient. When I bought it, I did not know he had no cd-rom. Great pain, however, it was still good for everyday use. It did not come with any word processor, and used them to install up to 75% of my hard drive, it goes without saying, if you need to do a lot of school work, it is not your laptop. The charger did not fit right as long as I used it. It always falls on. This is a problem because the battery life leaves much to be desired. He says six hours of life … uh, more like one of constant use. It has a built in wi-fi is great, you can auto connect to places you go to a lot, if you are a great surfer. The biggest problem I have with it is the screen is almost to the point of falling. She said in bulk, now I need to fully open just so used to it close to me while working.
